Small Business Development Programme
Enterprise Development is one of the 7 pillars the BBBEE code. 15 points are available for this element. For most organisations the challenge of Enterprise Development is essentially one of resources. The time and staff input required to make this a meaningful process is often too much for a business. Businesses also want to ensure that the investment they make pays off, not only for BBBEE points but in creating sustainable businesses that can support their own though providing quality goods and services reliably and cost efficiently. We have been involved in the development, mentoring and coaching of new managers for many years. Seeing a new business grow through the initial stages of establishment up to world-class competitiveness is the hope of every South African business. The challenges of job creation and poverty alleviation are highly dependent on the effective creation of sustainable small businesses. Through our own skills and those of our associates we are able to provide a solid foundation of coaching and guidance to new and struggling businesses through providing the basic skills needed for success. We will partner with our clients to formulate a unique strategy to address the most important development needs of their targeted new business or clients can tap into our comprehensive Programme for Development of Small Business. (Attached). Our programme covers a broad range of the most essential business skills needed to help new businesses move from survival mode to competence. The format of the programme is that we provide face-to-face coaching to the new business leader/s on the basis of 2 contact hours per week. Using a structured Coaching model we will provide direct hands on guidance, teach essential skills, help deal with practical problems and provide reading material and basic methodology to assist the manager. We will also provide a monthly report back to the client company on the progress and will meet with the client company representatives on a monthly basis to discuss progress and concerns.
